TYLER (KYTX) - The Salvation Army is grateful for many things including the opportunity to provide a place of love and hope as well as a traditional meal for so many who would otherwise be hungry and alone.
The Salvation Army will be serving a Thanksgiving meal from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday at the Center of Hope, 633 N. Broadway Ave. Tyler.
Many volunteers are gathering today to begin preparation for the Thanksgiving feast. They will begin peeling and cutting hundreds of pounds of potatoes, peeling onions, unwrapping pies, and getting everything ready for the over 1,000 guests who are expected Thanksgiving Day.
Hundreds of volunteers will be on site Thanksgiving Day to help serve our guests and spread the love of Christ as well as the joy of this holiday season. Thank you to the Tyler community who make it possible to serve a Thanksgiving meal to so many in our community.
