FORT WORTH (CBS) - Parents at one North Texas school are outraged over a rat problem.
It started a few months ago when classroom snacks started showing up on the floor. Soon rodent droppings and claw marks appeared often enough for parents and teachers to take photos inside the Pinnacle Academy in South Fort Worth. The school district sent a note home to parents assuring them classrooms would be sanitized during Spring Break. But parents say nothing was done.
The problem is so bad that the school had teachers tested for hantavirus, a disease caused by rodent droppings. Parents say that offer for testing did not extend to students.
