Sen. Dan Patrick quickly raises money for his campaign to become Lt. Governor of Texas

HOUSTON (KYTX) - Despite his late entry into the campaign, Senator Dan Patrick raised nearly $100,000 in 72 hours. This increased his cash on hand to $2.1 million. Patrick announced he was entering the race June 27 and quickly made plans to raise funds needed to meet the budget for the campaign to become the Texas Lieutenant Governor.

"I am humbled by the support my campaign has generated among Texans since announcing for Lieutenant Governor on June 27th, though my primary focus in the last few weeks has been on the special session and passing important pro-life legislation," says Patrick."I look forward to hitting the campaign trail hard in the days ahead. Texans are ready for a change in leadership and it's time for an authentic conservative who will lead."
