Several Grambling students shot following on campus altercation

GRAMBLING (KTBS) - Police in Grambling are still looking for the person who shot several students on the university campus last night.

It happened in front of Douglas Hall  in the residential section on campus.

About 40- 50 students were outside of the dorm hanging out when some sort of altercation broke out between some students and non-students.

Witnesses said the suspect pulled out a gun and  fired several shots.

Police found one person on the ground with a gun shot wound to the leg but they soon learned there were more victims.

"In the process of talking with the hospital we learned that two other people either drove themselves there or were taken there and that's when we discovered that there were three victims and not just one," says Will Sutton.

All three students were treated for non-life threatening  injuries and have been released from the hospital.

Police are talking with the students who were present at the time of the shooting. Investigators say there is video. The school just updated it's camera system and  they hope the video will help them track down the shooter who they say is not a student at the school.
