Sexual Assault Arrest in Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT (KYTX)- The Mount Pleasant Police Department arrested Amanda "Mandi" Willeford, 34 years of age from Mount Pleasant on April 17, 2014 for Sexual Assault of Child a second degree felony.

Willeford is currently being held in the Titus County Jail on a $30,000 bond for that offense.

This charge came about when Mount Pleasant Police were called to the scene of a disturbance at Willeford's residence located in the 2300 block of Greenhill Rd. During the course of the investigation, officers learned Willeford had allegedly been having sexual relations with a male victim who was under the age of 17.

This allegation lead to a warrant being issued for her arrest.

Mount Pleasant Police Detectives learned of a potential second male victim that was under the age of 14. As the investigation continued, the second victim was identified and probable cause was developed that resulted in an additional arrest warrant being issued.

Willeford was subsequently charged while still in custody at the Titus County Jail on Monday May 5 on an arrest warrant for Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, a first degree felony.

Bond on this charge has currently not currently been set.

The victim's names will not be released.
