DALLAS (WFAA) — Police said six people were killed Sunday night in a crash in South Dallas.
The accident happened around 10 p.m. near the corner of Bonnie View Road and Highland Hills Drive, two miles northwest of where Interstates 20 and 45 intersect.
Police said the speeding vehicle struck a curb and went out of control, slamming into a tree so hard that the victims had to be cut from the wreckage.
In a tweet, Dallas Police Maj. Max Geron said four occupants were pronounced dead at the scene and two others expired at or on the way to hospitals.
The names of the victims had not been released as of early Monday morning.
