UPDATE: A disturbance moving eastward from the Baja Peninsula will cross Texas with a slight chance of rain or light sleet after midnight in our area. That will change to rain by noon Friday with a chance of light rain through Saturday morning. The rest of the weekend through Tuesday will be sunny.

High temperatures Friday will be in the mid 40s. Lows Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings will be 33 to 35 degrees. Highs over the weekend will be in the mid 50s. Low temperatures Monday morning will be near 28 degrees. There will be a good chance of thunderstorms Wednesday of next week.

EAST TEXAS (KYTX) -  We will finally see some sunshine today - ahead of our next developing storm system. Right now, it is over West Texas, where a mixture of rain, sleet and snow is falling. Clouds will increase late today with highs in the upper 40's.

There is a 20% chance we could see some light rain mixed with sleet/flurries after midnight tonight. No accumulations or travel problems are expected. Showers continue around East Texas tomorrow - ending early Saturday morning. Highs this weekend will rebound into the mid-50's.
