EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - The weather warmed rapidly today thanks to south and southwest winds. High temperatures will be in the 70s as expected. The low temperatures tonight will be in the mid 50s with highs Thursday near 70 degrees again. A cold front is due to move through the area Friday marked by a shift to north winds in the morning.
That will put an end to highs in the 70s with temperatures returning to the low 60s Friday afternoon. Saturday will be cooler with highs in the mid 50s. Highs will return to the 60s from Sunday through the middle of next week. Lows will be in the 40s Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a slight chance of showers starting Friday and continuing through the weekend. We will enter a weather pattern which is more likely to bring showers and thunderstorms Monday through Wednesday.
