TYLER (KYTX) – Smith County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested a husband and wife Tuesday night in the parking lot of a sporting goods store on Highway 155 in Dogwood City. The arrests could lead to solving a number of Smith County burglaries and thefts.
Jon Grig Kincheloe, III, age 25 of Flint, was charged with burglary of a building relating to items taken on May 30 from Breckenridge Village on County Road 1145. His wife, Jacqueline Kincheloe, age 27 of Flint, was charged with theft of property.
Jon Kincheloe was identified by a Smith County Patrol Deputy from security photos taken from a still camera at Breckenridge Village. Sergeant Jeremy Black then followed the couple on Highway 155 and he and other officers from the Smith County Sheriff's Office, DPS and Texas Parks and Wildlife, took them into custody after a stop at the sporting goods store. Black and others found a number of items in their vehicle that are believed to be stolen.
The Kincheloe's are suspected in a number of other burglaries and thefts that have occurred this year in Smith County. Evidence shows that the items were being sold on eBay, Craigslist and other online sites.
Both were booked in to the Smith County Jail, where Jacqueline Kincheloe remains on a $20,000 bond. Jon Kincheloe was released on a $15,000 bond.
