Spring Hill Representing Texas in Dixie World Series

 LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A group of eight-year-olds are representing Texas in the Dixie World Series.  The group of Spring Hill students from Longview played their first game in Arkansas today. The team's first game was a success. The team beat Arkansas 7 to 6 and then went on to beat North Carolina 9 to 3. Texas will advance to play Georgia at noon Saturday.

Spring Hill beat out 12 teams in the district tournament, and then 12 teams in the state tournament to advance to the Dixie World Series. 

The Dixie World Series pulls 12 teams from 12 states in the Southeaster U.S.
