(WFAA) - The State Fair of Texas' iconic "Big Tex" is getting a change of clothes.
His new navy blue shirt with red shoulders and cuffs was revealed at the Cotton Bowl Tuesday morning.
According to the State Fair of Texas website, Big Tex gets a new outfit every three seasons. Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. supplies the now-55-foot mascot with his new duds.
The site says Big Tex wears a shirt sized 200 x 325 (neck x sleeve). His pants are 434 x 240 (waist x inseam) and use 100 yards of fabric.
The outfit reveal begins a one-month countdown until the State Fair begins.
Big Tex burned down in an electrical fire in October of 2012. A reconstructed Big Tex was unveiled almost a year later, in September of 2013
