Still no suspects in Thursday's fatal shooting in Longview

.LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Yesterday, as Longview investigators searched this duplex for clues to the deadly shooting, officer Kristie Brian says evidence of gang activity was all around.

"There is some gang activity in that area. Certainly, it was on the fence this morning, just right within 100 yards of where the homicide occurred," Brian said Thursday. Police have not released a motive or named suspects in the case.

They've sifted through shell casings and bullet holes -- but investigators haven't said who or what triggered the shots.

Family members say the victim was 33-year-old Tyson Patterson, who lived in Dallas.

Ricky Johnson knew Tyson.
"Tyson was a nice young man," Johnson says.
