Stolen yorkie found in home with weapons, narcotics

SAN ANTONIO (KENS 5) -- A yorkie recently stolen from her owners while they were visiting San Antonio was recovered by police Tuesday and will soon be reunited her with her owners in Florida.

But police said they may have busted a huge theft ring in the process. Bella, the 7-year-old yorkie, has had quite an adventure the last six days.

Police discovered the dog along with a stash of weapons, drugs and body armor. She has been missing since August 14, and police said her owners are relieved to know they're getting back pooch.

Police said she was swiped from a car in a Chili's parking lot on Interstate 10. The family was visiting San Antonio. Police said they believe 25-year-old Steven Martinez also took a laptop.

Police said they found Bella under a bed at a home on Flint Rock surrounded by guns, ammo, weed and heroin.

Luckily, Bella was micro-chipped so police were able to track her owners to Florida.

Martinez faces parole violation charges but more charges are expected to follow.
