Emergency crews responded to a structure fire in Tyler Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out at 409 Sunnyhill around 10:30 a.m. The first arriving unit reported seeing heavy fire and smoke, but crews were able to gain control of the fire withing 15 minutes.
According to a preliminary investigation, the fire is believed to have started in the kitchen and quickly spread throughout the home. The exact cause is unknown due to 'the number of potential ignition sources in the area,' according to the release.
The house is a total loss, displacing a family of five who will be staying with relatives.
A ladder truck, three engines, a District Chief and an investigator responded to the scene.
