Suspect arrested on aggravated assault against a public servant

TRINITY COUNTY, TX. (KYTX) - A Trinity County man is jailed on two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant.

20-year-old Shelby Wainwright of Groveton was arrested on Tuesday by Deputy Alexander.

Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace tells CBS 19 News, Wainwright  was arrested for allegedly elbowing Deputy Alexander in the eye. 

The deputy received minor injuries during the altercation with Wainwright, and was taken to ETMC where he was and treated and released.

Wainwright was parked outside a convenience store that had just sold him alcohol.

Cho Thoi Huynh, the owner of One Stop in Groveton, was arrested today for Selling Alcohol to a Minor. An interview with Shelby Wainwright he confirmed he purchased alcohol from Huynh twice Tuesday.
