Suspect in Lufkin burned body case extradited back to Angelina Co.

LUFKIN (KYTX) - A suspect allegedly involved in the death of a Lufkin man found in a burning truck is back in Angelina County.

Kristine Garcia, 25, of Nacogdoches was extradited from Louisiana and booked in Angelina County Jail Thursday according to jail records.

Police said Garcia admitted to her involvement in the death of 47-year-old Efren Elizondo during the first of two video-taped interviews during which she was not under arrest. 

Garcia allegedly told police that she was threatened with death if she didn't help.

Garcia is being held on a $1,000,000.00 bond.

There is an arrest warrant for murder out for 22-year-old Miguel Hernandez Monsivais of Lufkin. Monsivais is a Hispanic man, 6'2", 240 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
