WEST (KYTX) - Teachers and students in West, the town devastated by a plant explosion, are getting ready to head back to school.
The deadly April blast leveled the high school and seriously damaged the middle school.
Teachers say they'll be ready when students come back to class in just under two weeks. Thanks to generous donations from across the country the students don't even need to bring their own school supplies.
"Right now, we are expecting to be able to supply every child. We probably have enough glue to glue the sky to the earth right now.we have so much! and we want to be sure it's all used," Lois Leggett West school teacher said.
New classrooms have been built and there are signs of a fresh start at the football stadium, too, including new grass for the first home game.
