Teens spotted breaking into Longview home, flee from cops

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Three East Texas teens are in the Gregg County Jail today facing burglary and evading arrest charges.

Aaron Ray Wiley, 19, of Hallsville; and 19-year-old Jhaston Faggans and 20-year-old Deandre Marquette Hundley, both of Longview, were arraigned this morning by Gregg County Justice of the Peace Pct. 2 Arthur Fort.

According to probable cause reports, at about 10:30 Wednesday night, a Longview patrol officer was called to a home in the 1900 block of Hughey Drive in a burglary-in-progress call. Three people in dark clothing - one wearing white gloves - were reportedly in the house running out of the back door into Patterson Park, two fleeing right, another suspect fleeing left, despite calls from officers to freeze.

Officers apprehended all three men after a short chase and search of the Cargill Long walking trail. According to reports, Faggans, who was wearing the gloves, had a yellow iPod belonging the victim of the burglary on his possession after he was found by officers.

Faggans and Hundley are being held on $27,500 bond, charged with second degree burglary of a habitation and evading arrest. Wiley faces the same charges, but also had prior several local warrants, including a motion to revoke his six-month probation on a conviction in May for marijuana possession. Wiley is being held on $50,600 bond plus more than $1,000 in municipal warrants.
