TJC partners with A&M Commerce

(KYTX) -A historic and special partnership between TJC and Texas A&M officially starts today.

The presidents of the two universities signed papers today creating a pathway for TJC students to easily continue education at A&M commerce.

New developed technology will recognize TJC classes, so when students transfer, they won't lose any credit for classes they've already taken.

A&M Commerce is also helping with financial aid.

"A&M Commerce is very fortunate to have some generous alumni here in Smith County. They've created an endowed scholarship fund so students here will have access to those resources," says President of A&M Commerce Dan Jones.

There are a variety of scholarships available to all students. Additional scholarships are for students with a certain number of hours and GPA.

Another fund for students in the Phi Theta Kappa honors society.
