Birthright (KYTX) - Teresa Petty and her husband arrived at their business to find holes on all sides.
The cabinet shop along with the store next door, and homes nearby were all damaged by a tornado. It touched down just after 8 o clock.
"It looked like a war zone. There was just debris everywhere. It's a very shocking feeling."
The tornado plowed a path through the small community of birthright, just north of Sulphur Springs.
No injuries have been reported, but those living off of Highway 19 are sorting through the rubble of what used to be their homes.
"When the morning light comes, it'll set in that this is a mess we have to clean up."
The storm was accompanied with lightning, and hail.
"We're just thankful that no one was hurt, that this wasn't worse than what it already is."
Petty says it will take months to get her business running again, but she has her family to keep her strong.
