Traffic Stop leads to drug arrest in Nacogdoches

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office has arrested a Nacogdoches man on drugs charges following a traffic stop on Highway 59s at CR 524.

Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that deputies stopped a passenger vehicle for a traffic offense late Tuesday night around 11:00pm. Deputies observed that the driver was very nervous and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for a traffic offense.

Deputies arrested the driver for the warrant. Deputies also obtained consent to search the motor vehicle. During the search deputies found over 8 grams of methamphetamine that was individually packaged for sale, along with digital scales and other drug paraphernalia. Deputies also found pills inside the motor vehicle that were not prescribed to the suspect.

Brandon Sealy, 34 years of age,  was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. Sealy was charged with manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance a 1st felony and possession of a controlled substance a Class A misdemeanor. Sealy bond was set at $17,500.00 dollars.

Sealy was also charged with an outstanding capias warrant for his arrest for a traffic offense.
