Transportation commissioner, state Sen. Eltife panelists for Aug. 21 summit in Longview

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Texas State Senator Kevin Eltife, Texas Transportation Commissioner Jeff Austin III, and Scott Haywood, President of Move Texas Forward, will be the panelists at the Longview Chamber of Commerce's Transportation Summit set for August 21, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at Pinecrest Country Club.

The Chamber supports Proposition 1 toward securing the state's transportation infrastructure. Partnering with Move Texas Forward and Texas Association of Business, the Chamber is bringing these leaders together for a review of this critical and current legislation impacting Longview and the State of Texas economy. The panel discussion will review the issues that require action to secure continued transportation infrastructure in Texas.

Tickets for the luncheon are $25 for chamber members and $50 for nonmembers. Reserved tables are $500. Reservations can be made by calling the chamber office at 903.237.4000. This year's Presenting Sponsor is Southwestern Electric Power Company.
