EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Good morning!
A front sitting between I-30 and I-20 this morning will trigger scattered showers/thunderstorms along/south of I-20 during the morning hours (30%). Highs should top 89 today and dip to 73 by tomorrow morning. Mostly cloudy skies are in store for us tomorrow and again on Thursday as another disturbance drops across East Texas providing us with a 30-40% chance of scattered showers/thunderstorms - especially tomorrow afternoon/evening. Highs tomorrow will reach 90-92.
Temperatures should be slightly "cooler" by Thursday with the mercury remaining in the upper 80's. As we approach the weekend, it appears an upper level high pressure system will build in from the southeastern U.S. This feature will squelch our rain chances, only allowing for isolated afternoon/evening thunderstorms Friday - Sunday. Highs this weekend will be warmer.. in the lower 90's.
Have a great Tuesday!
