TURKEY (CBS) - Turkey has shelled Syrian forces across the border after stray Syrian shells hit inside Turkey killing five people.
The artillery from Syria appeared to come from Syrian government forces that were fighting Syrian rebels. NATO ministers called an emergency meeting in response to the shelling and is expected back Turkey's military response.
The fighting between the government forces and the rebels has intensified. Caught in the middle --the Syrian people. Tens of thousands of Syrians have fled the country and are in shelters in Turkey as a result.
