Two $1 million Powerball tickets sold in Houston area

HOUSTON (KHOU) – Officials with the Texas Lottery Commission said early Thursday two $1 million-Powerball tickets were sold in the Houston area.

Both tickets matched five out of five numbers without the Powerball or Power Play option.

One ticket was sold at the Timewise Food Store on FM 1960 in Humble. The other winning ticket was sold at the Stop by Market on Boone Road in Houston, according to the Texas Lottery.

Had the Houston-area players matched the Powerball, they would have been sharing part of the estimated $579.9 million jackpot.

There were two winners in the $579.9 million-prize. Powerball officials said one is located in Arizona, and the other is located in Missouri.

Two other million-dollar tickets were sold in Texas: one in Dallas and the other in San Antonio.

The winning Powerball numbers for 11/28/12 are 5-16-22-23-29, Powerball-6.
