Trinity Police Dept. News Release

TRINITY (KYTX) - Two people are in custody on an aggravated robbery charge after they were arrested for allegedly stealing money from a football team booth.

On Saturday, November 9, 2013 around 1:00PM the owner of the Gracie's One Stop Grocery on the corner of Hwy 94 and FM 356 reported someone stole a six pack of beer.

The store clerk reported the suspects left in a sliver Chrysler 300. Later in the day around 2:23PM several complaints reported the suspects in a silver Chrysler 300 stole money from the Trinity Peewee Football Team booth at the Trinity High School.

The suspects allegedly put an older gentleman's life in danger and/or put him at risk of serious bodily injury, with their vehicle, when he tried to stop them. The act of placing the gentleman's life in danger and/or serious bodily injury escalated the misdemeanor criminal charge of theft to felony aggravated robbery.

The suspects were followed west on Hwy 94 to South Street, where they turned. The suspects were from the Coldspring area. It is believed the suspects turned on the wrong road, thinking they were turning onto FM 356. At the dead end of South Street, the suspects wrecked trying to turn around, and then confronted by parents and participants of the Trinity Peewee Football Team.

Several officers from different agencies responded and following an investigation into the events, two people were taken into custody on South Street. 18-year-old Bristine Jayroe and 21-year-old Nathan Kologinczak were both charged with felony aggravated robbery.

Subsequent to the Aggravated Robbery arrest, Officers located the owner of the vehicle, 23-year-old Rosa Lucia at the Trinity High School. The owner of the vehicle was arrested and charged with misdemeanor public intoxication. After locating Xanax pills hidden in Lucia's crotch area, she was also charged with felony possession of controlled substance (Xanax) in a drug free zone.

The investigation was conducted by Officer Givens with the help of Constable Cole. Trinity PD also thanks Sheriff Wallace and Constable Casey for showing up to assist.
