WINNSBORO (KYTX) - No arrest have been made at this time in an argument between a stepson and his stepfather that left both hospitalized with stab wounds.
Wood County Sheriff's office reports at 1:59 PM on March 25th the Wood County Sheriff's Office received a 911 report of a stabbing in the Winnsboro area at a residence located on CR 4200.
Upon arrival deputies found EMS on scene and making preparations to transport a 50-year-old white male, by Care Flight to a Tyler hospital. The stepfather had suffered several stab wounds, the severity of which were not known at that time.
The is reported to be in stable condition as of this morning. The man's step-son, a white adult male, was transported to the Winnsboro hospital for superficial wounds.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the two individuals had been in a domestic quarrel. A knife and alcohol were involved in the altercation.
As of Wednesday morning, the subject in the Tyler hospital is reported to be in stable condition. The other subject was treated and released.
No arrests have been made or warrants issued pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
