Tyler, TX -- It's the day before Lent begins, and people traditionally indulge on Fat Tuesday.
However, you don't have to be in New Orleans to get a taste of Mardi Gras. Businesses in East Texas are throwing their own celebrations, and cashing in on the Fat Tuesday tradition.
Fat Tuesday is one of the busiest days of the year for Fat Catz in Tyler. The Cajun-themed restaurant and Stanley's Famous Pit BBQ are just a couple of places offering decorations, menu and drink specials, and live music for Mardi Gras.
Our Jaime Gerik joined in on the festivities at Stanley's. Click on the video for coverage of the event.
