Tyler City Council OKs modification of city's alcohol sale rules

TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - Tyler City Council voted this morning to approve a modification to the city's alcohol variance allowing alcohol-selling retailers to sell alcohol with both a fence and a natural or man-made buffer between the retailer and the school.

The retailer must also be at least 20,000 square feet in space. Current TABC regulations call for a 300 foot space from the property line of the retailer to that of a school.
