Tyler Fire Department holds annual toy drive

TYLER (KYTX) - The Tyler Fire Department is continuing its more than 20 year tradition of collecting toys for children in need during the holidays. To assist with the drive, bring new and unwrapped toys to any Tyler Fire Station now through Dec. 14.

"Tyler is such a caring community, with so many people willing to help the less fortunate," said Tyler Fire Chief Tim Johnson. "We collect these toys at all the fire stations to provide citizens a convenient, easy way to drop off their donations throughout the City."

After the toys have been collected at each station, the Salvation Army will distribute them to children in need.

To find your nearest Fire Station call Fire Administration at (903) 535-0005, or for any other questions regarding the collection, call Fire Marshall Paul Findley at (903) 535-0007.
