Tyler ISD welcomes new middle school principals

TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH)- Three new principals were announced for Tyler ISD middle schools.

Rodney Curry, assistant principal at Forest Park Middle School in Longview ISD, will be the new Boulter Middle School principal.

Josh Garred, associate principal at Robert E. Lee High School, will be the new Hogg Middle School principal.

And Kevin Blain, Lindale High School assistant principal, will be the new principal at Hubbard Middle School.

The board approved the hires during a special-called meeting today. In other business, the board approved the resignation of Alejandra Lara, who was hired last month to serve as Orr Elementary School Principal.

Superintendent Gary Mooring said Ms. Lara decided to accept a position in Harlingen. The district will begin the process of finding a replacement immediately.

In addition, the district still has to hire a principal for Stewart Middle School.
