TYLER (KYTX) - A home for disabled East Texans is getting a facelift, courtesy of the Junior League of Tyler.
The ARC of Smith County helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Every year the Junior League's provisional class chooses a project to work on.
This year, the class chose to give the ARC house a facelift.
Class members say they are glad they chose to work with ARC this year.
"They gave us a tour, they told us about the clientele they serve and they are really able to touch a lot of different people and we feel like this is such a worthy cause," says Amy Dyer.
They redid landscaping, painted bathrooms, and blew up pictures of clients and hung them on the walls.
The ARC of Smith SCounty serves more than 1,000 families.
