(KYTX) -A piece of Tyler's Azalea District gets recognized with an historic landmark designation.
The Roberts and Roberts Law Firm used to be home to the late architect Shirley Simons.
For the past 24 years, those with Roberts and Roberts have worked to restore and revive the home.
Today, their contributions were honored with an historic landmark plaque.
"I'm grateful to everyone who recognizes the effort we put into restoring this small part of historic Tyler," says Chris Simmons, son of Shirley Simmons.
It's great to have some things that you can look back on and they stand through the time of history.
The Simons house was built in 1931 and attorneys Bruce and Randy Roberts purchased it in 1989.
