Tyler planning and zoning officials recommend alcohol-related ordinance changes

TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - Tyler's Planning and Zoning Commission agreed today to recommend changes to the Unified Development Code, in the event residents vote today to approve alcohol sales.

Only two people spoke during a special public hearing on the proposed changes.

Officials want to make sure city ordinances are updated so that if voters approve legalized alcohol sales, the new retail activities are a good fit for Tyler.

The Tyler City Council will consider the changes in its Nov. 13 meeting, if the measure passes.
