Tyler Police investigate robbery at Zip Cash on Troup Hwy

(KYTX) - On October 1, 2013, at about 4:15 p.m., Tyler Police responded to 5111 Troup Hwy, Zip Cash, for a Robbery call.

Officers arrived at the scene and contacted employees. Witnesses described the suspect as a black male, about 5'05", thin build, wearing a green flannel shirt, dark pants, and a dark toboggan style hat.

He had also entered the store with his face covered with a white shirt. He then demanded money from an employee.

The employee gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect then fled from the scene running southbound beside the business. No one was injured during this crime. This case is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
