Tyler police looking for man who robbed Family Dollar store

Police responded to the report of a robbery at a Family Dollar store on the northwest loop Sunday morning.

Sergeant Jason Burton said officers arrived at the store and talked with a clerk and another witness who said a man entered and demanded money from the cash register. They described a black man who was approximately six feet tall. He was wearing a black jacket, green shirt and blue jeans.

The clerk said the man covered his face with the shirt and never pulled out a weapon. He left on foot with the money.
