Tyler Public Library opens special exhibit for 50th anniversary of JFK assassination

(KYTX) - Friday marks 50 years since the assassination of president John F. Kennedy in Dallas.

The Tyler Public Library has a special exhibit open now with old newspaper and photos.
     
On Thursday and Friday they'll showing films from the Sixth Floor Museum and presenting oral histories. Those exhibits are open to the public with a special place to share your memories.

"They can write down how it affected their life or where they were that day.Most anyone can tell you where they were when they heard the news," says Susie Brown with Tyler Public Library. 

 

On Friday you can see  a tribute on our affiliated  station KCEB.

Beginning at 7 in the morning. We will also be streaming it live on cbs19.tv
