U.S. unemployment rate up for May

(CNN) - The U.S. unemployment rate is up-- but just barely.

The May jobs numbers were released earlier today. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports 175,000 jobs were added in May. That's more than analysts expected and more than what was added last month.

Officials say 11.8 million people are unemployed -- that's a small increase from April.
