Kaufman County Sheriffs:
FORNEY (KYTX) – An undercover investigation by Kaufman County narcotics investigators yielded the arrest of Russell Lewis Watson Jr., 28, of Gun Barrel City and Susan Marie Salmon, 35, of Terrell.
Investigators recovered over 35 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamines in the vehicle.
Watson was arrested on February 11, 2013 at approximately 4 p.m., and charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 over One Gram, but under 200 Grams.
Watson also had five outstanding warrants from Seven Point Police Department, three outstanding warrants out of Seagoville Police Department, and one outstanding warrant out of Ellis County. While in the process of completing the undercover narcotics arrests, they also discovered that Salmon had just been released from the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where she had previously been arrested and charged with identity theft from a December case. Salmon was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group One over One Gram, but under 200 Grams.
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Kaufman County Law Enforcement Center, where Watson is being held with bond set at $503,092.00. Salmon is being held with bond set at $200,000.00.
