UPDATE: NEW SUMMERFIELD (KYTX) -- An autopsy report confirms the body discovered on July 29, 2014 near Reklaw, Texas was that of Javier Jimenez.
Jimenez was positively identified utilizing finger prints on file.
The Medical Examiner listed the cause of death as Homicide due to Gunshot Wound.
There is no further information to release at this time and the investigation is continuing with the assistance of several allied agencies.
Jessica Jimenez is consoled by family members after learning police have found a body just days after her father was reported missing.
Javier Jimenez, 44, was last seen leaving his home in New Summerfield on the morning of July 23. His daughter tells us her father was in the car business -- buying and selling them from people around town. He never came home from work that night and that's when his family grew concerned.
Their worst fears were realized when Jimenez's cell phone was found in Jacksonville. It was the same phone family had been calling non-stop.
On Tuesday, New Summerfield were called out to a property for sale near Reklaw, after two people found a body in the bed of a 2001 Ford pick-up truck. The body was taken to Dallas for an autopsy Wednesday, but investigators have not released the person's identity or a cause of death.
Jimenez's daughter Jessica said she believes its the same red pick-up truck her father left to work. "I don't know what to think right now. It hurts, especially when it's your father," Jessica Jimenez told CBS19.
