UPDATE: Fire Leaves Two Month Old Baby And 5 Others Injured

UPDATE (KYTX) - A 42 year old and a 2 month old baby remain in critical condition after last night's house fire. The 2 were air lifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Longview Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary says the home off of Tryon Road is a complete loss, but luckily the family was insured. 

The cause of the fire is unknown but Zackary says it started in the downstairs Living Room. Longview Fire Marshal says the fire started in the downstairs area of a two story house. The fire started at around 10:33 Tuesday night.

 

The Fire Department reports that the house did not seem to have any smoke detectors, and people only knew the house was on fire after smelling it.. It's reported that 4 had to jump out of a 2nd story window to escape. 

2 dogs were killed and another is receiving burn treatment at a local vet. 

 

 

The American Red Cross is helping with relief.

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A fire on the 2800 block of Tryon Road in Longview leaves 6 injured. 

Longview Fire Marshal says the fire started in the downstairs area of a two story house. The fire started at around 10:30 Tuesday night. The fire is still being investigated and the cause of the fire is unknown. 
Some of the 6 injured were transported to Good Shepherd and others to Longview Regional. Out of the 6, a one year old and one other child suffered burns too. The extent of the children's injuries is unknown.
