UPDATE: Freeze Warning issued for tomorrow morning

East Coast Snow

UPDATE: EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Temperatures dropped below freezing this morning including 29 degrees at Longview which broke the record for March 25th. The old record was 30 degrees set 7 years ago in 2006. Tyler and Nacogdoches saw 30 degrees and Lufkin dipped to 33 degrees.

A Freeze Warning has been issued for Tuesday morning from midnight until 8:00 o'clock with temperatures expected to be near 27 degrees in some places. Record lows for March 26th are 22 degrees in Tyler, 24 in Longview and 25 in Lufkin.

Temperatures will begin to get warmer Wednesday, and the warming trend will continue through the weekend. We will see highs in the 60s Wednesday through Friday and in the 70s over the weekend. Lows will return to the 50s by Friday.

There will also be increasing chances of rain starting Thursday, and rain will stay in the forecast through Sunday. Expect sunny skies through Wednesday and mostly cloudy to cloudy skies from Thursday through most of the weekend. Winds be northwest 5 to 10 mph Tuesday, then turn from the south and southeast from Wednesday through Monday.

EAST COAST (KYTX/CBS) - If you think it's cold in East Texas, it's even colder on the East Coast this morning.

It will be a sloppy morning commute for folks there -- from Washington D.C. to New York City. The area is expected to get 1 to 3 inches of snow followed by rain. The same winter storm left 15 inches of snow in parts of Colorado and Kansas over the weekend, then dumped nearly a foot over the country's Midsection.
