TYLER (KYTX) - A Greyhound bus wreck occurred in Forney just after the on-ramp from FM 548 and before the off-ramp at Broad Street.
The wreck was originally reported in Forney, but an official from Greyhound said it was in Mesquite. Forney media crews now confirm that the wreck was in Forney.
Maureen Richmond, Greyhound spokesperson, said the bus was en route from Shreveport to Dallas, and the wreck occurred.
"The bus may have made a stop in Tyler, but it was from Shreveport," Richmond said.
According to Richmond's report, a car entered the highway and hit the bus. She said the bus had minimum damage, and the driver was able to continue to Dallas.
However, seven people were taken to an area hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injures.
The wreck happened about 4 p.m., Richmond said.
It is unclear which vehicle was responsible for the crash or if weather played a role.
