UPDATE: Malakoff man killed in early morning crash in Tyler

  

UPDATE: TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - A Malakoff man was killed in a single-car crash on Grande Boulevard in Tyler early today, according to Tyler police.

At approximately 12:37 a.m., officers responded to 3200 Grande Boulevard, where witnesses told them one vehicle had driven off the roadway westbound and flipped several times.
The driver, Rocky Lee Padget, 29, of Malakoff died at the scene. A passenger, Darrell Grayer, 25, of Tyler was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The crash is still under investigation by Tyler Police Department.

 

 

FROM TYLER POLICE DEPARTMENT: 

TYLER (KYTX) - On Friday October 5, 2012 at approximately 12:37 a.m., Officers responded to 3200 Grande Blvd. in reference to a motor vehicle crash.  Witnesses advised that one vehicle had driven off the roadway westbound and flipped several times. 

 The driver of the vehicle Rocky Lee Padgett of Malakoff died at the scene.  The passenger of the vehicle Darrell Grayer of Tyler was taken to Medical Center Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

The accident shut down part of Grande for a while this morning, but it is back open right now.

The crash is still under investigation by Tyler Police Department.
