UPDATE: A memorial service has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer for Ronnie Joe Gammage Jr.
The funeral home said visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. there. Croley Funeral Home is located at 305 W. Harrison Street.
UPDATE: Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian has confirmed that the Upshur County District Attorney's Office has issued an arrest warrant for a third suspect in the capital murder case of Ronnie Joe Gammage Jr., but she said police will not release the suspect's name until they are arrested and arraigned.
Brian also said, so far, there are three suspects connected to Gammage's death, though when asked about a possible fourth suspect, she replied, "You never know, but at this time, it looks like there's three period."
UPDATE: Haslam and Jones have been charged with capital murder in Upshur County, where Gammage's body was found. Bonds have been set at $1 million for Jones, who admitted to cutting Gammage's throat and setting his body on fire, and $100,000 for Haslam, who implicated Jones prior to Jones' confession, according to arrest warrant.
Bond has been set for their Gregg County charges of aggravated kidnapping at $350,000 for Jones, and $300,000 for Haslam.
UPDATE: The two suspects in connection with the kidnapping of Ronnie Joe Gammage Jr. have been identified as 20-year-old Sarah Haslam and 19-year-old Daniel Paul Jones both of Longview according to the Probable Cause Report in the Gregg County Precinct 1 Justice Court.
Jones and Haslam have been charged with aggravated robbery but have not been arraigned.
In the report, both Jones and Haslam admitted their involvement in leading Gammage to a location near Tryon Road north of Loop 281 in Gregg County sometime during the early morning hours on Wednesday, December 5 after seeing him at the Waffle House in Longview.
While at the location, Jones and Haslam allegedly beat Gammage then took him to a location in Upshur County where they beat him some more before Jones allegedly cut Gammage's throat with a knife.
According to the Probable Cause Report, Jones then poured gasoline on Gammage's body and set him on fire.
Longview Police confirms that they are investigating at least one other person's involvement in the case but did not say whether the other suspect has been interviewed.
UPDATE: Police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said the two suspects in the kidnapping of Ronnie Joe Gammage Jr. have been taken to the Gregg County Jail in Longview. Their names have not been released, pending arraignment in Precinct 1 Justice Court some time before noon Thursday.
Brian withheld the cause of Gammage's death or the location in Upshur County where his body was discovered. The two men in custody have admitted their involvement in his disappearance, but it is not known whether detectives have spoken with two other people believed to be involved.
Though the time of discovery of his body has not been released, Brian said Gammage's family was notified of the discovery late Wednesday night.
LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - According to Longview police, the body of 27-year-old Ronnie Joe Gammage has been found in Upshur County.
Two people have been arrested for aggravated kidnapping, though police say a total of four people might have been involved in Gammage's disappearance. Gammage, who lived at Parkway Gardens Apartments on McCann Road in Longview, had been reported missing since Dec. 8, when his mother told detectives she last talked to her son on Dec. 4, according to police.
Longview police spokeswoman Kristie Brian said more charges could be filed in this case, which remains under investigation.
The following is the Longview police press release issued shortly after midnight Thursday.
"On December 8, 2012, Longview Police took a missing persons report in reference to Ronnie Joe Gammage, a 27 year-old white male who lives in Longview. Ronnie last spoke to his mother on December 4, 2012. Ronnie is described as a being 6' 8" tall weighing 265 pounds, and usually dresses in western attire. Ronnie suffers from a mental disability which can impair his ability to make sound judgments. Ronnie's vehicle was also found abandoned in the parking lot of the Waffle House located at 318 East Loop 281. Gammage's vehicle a tan Chevrolet pickup truck was found in the parking lot with one of the truck's tires slashed."
"Update: During the course of the investigation detectives identified four individuals who may have been involved in his disappearance. Detectives interviewed two of those individuals. After the interview the suspects led police to the body of 27-year old Ronnie Joe Gammage. His body was located in Upshur County. Both suspects were arrested on Aggravated Kidnapping. More charges will be filed in this case. The case remains under investigation."
