UPDATE: Smith County Road and Bridge Department warns of possible road flooding

UPDATE: SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - Smith County Road and Bridge Department is keeping an eye on County Road 411 between CR 46 and HWY 110 for possible flooding.

Officials advise that flooding generally occurs in patches throughout the county and is not limited to any specific area.

Drivers are encouraged to pay careful attention to the roads and always turn around when an area of road is underwater.

Motorists are encouraged to report damage to county roads to the Smith County Road and Bridge Department at 903-590-4801.

Call 9-1-1 if a road condition is dangerous and in need of immediate attention.



EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Happy wet Wednesday. There's a 100% chance of rain today and tonight.

A Flash Flood Watch continues today for East Texas. An additional 1-3 inches of rain will be possible before the storm system exits to our northeast tomorrow. Pounding on roadways will occur today with isolated flash flooding possible.

Highs today near 60. We should see some sunshine tomorrow afternoon with highs in the mid-60's.
