Update: Texarkana area Wal-Mart stores reopen following bomb threat

UPDATE: TEXARKANA (KTBS) - Police are investigating a bomb threat that shut down 4 Wal-Marts in the Texarkana area.

Authorities say they received a bomb threat against the stores around 7:00 a.m. this morning. Wal-Mart officials immediately began evacuating customers in the Ashdown-New Boston stores and the Wal-Marts on both sides of Texarkana.

Local authorities assisted in the evacuation and continue to work to find the source of the threat.

The stores are now back open.
