UPDATE: One of Texas' Top Ten most wanted sex offenders has turned himself into authorities in San Augustine County.
The sheriff's office confirms 39-year-old Eric Lapaul Mosby turned himself in Tuesday.
The Texas Department of Public Safety issued a $5,000 reward for Mosbys capture. He has ties to several East Texas cities, including San Augustine, Nacogdoches and Tenaha. He has previously worked in the poultry industry, and his criminal history includes sexual assault of a child, failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements and aggravated assault.
Mosby was convicted in 1997 for the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl, and since 2007, he has been arrested multiple times for failure to register as a sex offender.
