UPDATE: City of Tyler's traffic lights are now functioning normally. After, a widespread power outage throughout portions of the west and east side of the city.
Oncor tells CBS 19 that there was an equipment failure and they believe was caused by high winds. For seeing more than 3,400 customers to be without power.
There is still a few outages reported, but Oncor has promised power will be restored by this afternoon.
(TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - Traffic lights are out at several locations in Tyler, including Fleishel at Beckham Avenue, Troup Highway at Dulse, Golden Road and McDonald Road and West Erwin and SSW Loop 323.
According to Oncor, more than 2,500 customers are affected by widespread outages in the city of Tyler.
Oncor is currently assessing the cause of the power failures.
