Update: Woman, 34, pleads guilty to posing as high school sophomore

UPDATE: LONGVIEW (KYTX) -The 34-year-old woman charged with posing as a teenager at a Longview High School is out of jail.

Tuesday morning, Charity Johnson pleaded guilty failing to identify, and giving false /fictitious information.

Johnson was fined $277 and sentenced to 85 days in jail, but was given credit for time served.

Investigators say duped local people and a high school into thinking she was 15 years old.

According to Gregg County online records, County Court-at-Law No. 1 Judge Becky Simpson accepted Johnson's plea.

Johnson was in the Gregg County Jail since May 13, 2014 after a local family told police that the woman's stories about who she was were no longer making sense. Investigators soon learned that she was enrolled in New Life Christian School, a private school in Longview, as a high school sophomore.
